With more than 10 years of experience working for leading charities in New Zealand and the UK, Carly knows what makes donors tick.
Her background lies in event fundraising and marketing, but she also has experience in corporate sponsorship and community fundraising. But it was her lifelong passion for writing that led her to the world of copywriting and content writing several years ago.
Since then, she has combined her fundraising expertise with her writing skills to produce powerful content for a range of businesses and charities. She has also written feature articles for New Zealand’s leading parenting magazine OHBaby!.
Carly is Giving Architect’s go-to copywriter, specialising in developing compelling and donor-centric Case for Support documents. Plus, with her sharp eye for detail, fundraising expertise, and natural ability to nurture relationships, she brings more than writing skills to the table.
Carly lives in central Auckland with her husband Tom and two young boys, Jack and Theo. She is driven by making positive change, and recent experiences of serious illness within her whanau have further fuelled her passion for the for-purpose sector. She dreams of publishing a book one day, and it goes without saying that she loves reading and word games (hence her obsession with playing wordle!).
