Ron Fairchild FFIA CFRE

Ron Fairchild is an internationally respected fundraising strategist with over four decades of experience spanning Australia, Canada, the US, and South Africa. A graduate of the University of Windsor (Bachelor of Human Kinetics, Hons) and Oxford University’s Strategic Leadership Programme, Ron is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and Fellow of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FFIA). He has led capital campaigns and advancement strategies that have collectively raised over $1.2 billion for universities, hospitals, and nonprofit organisations.
Ron has been instrumental in building high-performing advancement programmes from the ground up. At Monash University, he developed a team of over 60 professionals and helped raise $210 million; at Deakin University, he led a new Advancement portfolio that secured $75 million in philanthropic income.
Most recently, as Director of the Monash Health Foundation, he restructured and revitalised the organisation, growing fundraising income from $3 million to over $16 million annually in under six years.
Recognised as the Fundraising Executive of the Year by AFP, Ron is also a former faculty member of the Madison Down Under Programme and served on the board of the Heart Foundation (Victoria). His track record in strategic leadership, donor engagement, and capability building positions him as a trusted advisor for institutions seeking transformative philanthropic growth.
